The chapel’s interior is adorned with paintings, and it features an outdoor carillon of 23 bells that chimes every hour. From here, enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the English Channel.
We’ll walk down into the heart of Honfleur and visit the Musée Eugène Boudin, dedicated to the forerunners of Impressionism.
Next, we’ll stop by the Maison Satie, the whimsical childhood home of composer Erik Satie, followed by a visit to the 15th-century wooden church Église Sainte-Catherine, one of the oldest and most unique churches in France.
We’ll then stroll to the port and browse contemporary art galleries, such as Galerie Danielle Bourdette Gorzkowski — perhaps you’ll discover and take home a work by a modern artist.
Drive to Trouville for a walk through the old town.
Lunch at the fish market in Trouville — fresh seafood and wine.
Before choosing a table, we’ll stop by the bakery across the street for a warm baguette. We’ll order seasonal seafood and request sashimi made from fresh wild fish.
Dessert awaits in Deauville.
We’ll take a walk through Deauville, stopping by the very first Chanel boutique, tucked between the Hôtel Normandy and the Casino de Deauville.
Stroll along Plage de Deauville, home to the famous American Film Festival.
We’ll toast with a glass of champagne on the beach at Le Bar du Soleil, just like Clark Gable once did.
By car, we’ll visit the Deauville Hippodrome and the former family home of Gustave Flaubert — Villa Strassburger.
